Stainless Steel is an alloy that contains 10.5 to 11 percent Chromium. It contains a thin layer of oxides that protect the metal. If this layer suffers a breakdown, it’s able to repair itself and continue to protect the metal.
Stainless Steel does not readily corrode, rust or stain and is easy to clean and maintain.

Life Span: With interior use, stainless steel will last forever. With exterior use, stainless steel will last over 20 years!
Fire Resistance: Stainless steel has a high melting point and is resistant to temperatures over 1800° F
Impact & Corrosion Resistance: Due to its self-healing property, if scratches or damage occur, stainless steel will rebuild itself with the assistance of oxygen from air or water.
Maintenance: Stainless steel does not require any type of corrosion or protection coating. To remove graffiti, a scouring pad can easily do the job. Stainless steel can easily be cleaned up with a standard stainless steel cleaner to make it look shiny and new!
Aluminum Disadvantages
Life Span: With interior use, aluminum will last up to 20 years. With exterior use, aluminum will only last up to 5 years.
Fire Resistance: Aluminum has a much lower melting point than stainless steel.
Impact & Corrosion Resistance: Aluminum is very porous and is prone to surface scratches, dents, and other damage such as rust and corrosion and lacks the ability to self-heal.
Maintenance: A clear coat must be added to the aluminum to keep the appearance from fading as it often becomes dull from corrosion and gets encrusted with brake dust, calcium, lime, grease, oil, and water stains. Harsh chemicals are required to remove these elements as well as graffiti.
